February 15, 2017 - Success Path recently partnered with The Road Home, a private non-profit social services agency that assists individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Salt Lake County and along the Wasatch Front, preparing healthy lunches for children in need. A team of 14 coaching department employees volunteered.
“The thought of young kids going without the nutrition needed to live is absolutely heartbreaking and I’m glad we could come together and pay it forward,” said Erin Spainhower, Coaching Department Office Manager. “I truly enjoy being part of a company that is so involved with the community!”
The Road Home, which also operates the largest homeless shelter in Utah, provides emergency shelter and personalized case management to help people identify and overcome the obstacles that have led them to becoming homeless. The Success Path team prepared and delivered sack lunches for the nearly 60 young children who do not yet have access to the free/reduced lunch program through school.
“It is fantastic that Success Path is willing to be a part of the community and help as much as possible,” Carter Brown, Director of Coaching, said of the company’s commitment to serving its community. “This was a tremendous opportunity to help those children that are in a rough situation without enough food to eat.”
Success Path hopes to continue its work with The Road Home as they fulfill their mission of helping people step out of homelessness and back into our community.
